Deborah Bush has had a global influence on the promotion and prevention of endometriosis. She developed the world’s first Menstrual Health and Endometriosis me™ programme for schools. Endorsed by WES, it has significantly influenced early recognition of symptoms in adolescents and timely intervention. She has developed innovative CME health programmes for workplaces and hospitals and is a regular keynote speaker at conferences. Her private practice EPP Coaching and Consulting, integrates into Endometriosis Centres of Expertise and focuses on well-health for well-being. She founded the World Endometriosis Organisations (WEO) in 2017 to facilitate global collaboration and is a strong international advocate for endometriosis.
The topic will include:
- This presentation gives an overview of dysmenorrhoea and its significant impact on morbidity, QoL and daily function in adolescents. Understanding the need for early recognition of symptoms and timely intervention which may indicate more serious health issues such as endometriosis will be discussed as well as management in primary health care and referral. A case study highlighting the issues will be presented and questions are encouraged.
