Bio:
Maarie recently left Te Tāhū Hauora | Health Quality and Safety Commission, where her role was to support and guide her team in embedding and enacting Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a cultural safety approach across the national programme. Currently, Maarie is focused on her study with the Māori and Indigenous Leadership Master’s programme at the University of Canterbury and enjoying a few teaching roles in Māori health.
Her passion for learning fuels a drive to improve continuously. The journey from unfamiliar concepts to actively integrating them into daily practice ignites her spirit. Her commitment to the steady and deliberate pursuit of excellence defines her work ethic and professional journey.
