Dr Cathy Stephenson

Bio:
Cathy is a GP at a Rangatahi Ora clinic in Porirua, where she works alongside a multi-disciplinary team supporting young people from the community. She spent many years as a Forensic Medical Examiner with the Wellington Sexual Assault and Assessment Service, and has also been a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Intimate Partner Violence and Sexual Assault. In her GP role, she has supported many patients with ME/CFS and long COVID. After holding a variety of other leadership and governance roles, Cathy took up the role of Principal Health Advisor at the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry responsible for Work and Income) in 2022.
