Bio: Alan has been a registered mental health nurse since 1997 and has worked in a range of psychiatric areas including acute, community rehabilitation, forensic and dementia care. He now works in dementia education and has subsequently gained an MSc in dementia studies and advanced level qualification in the use of Dementia Care Mapping (DCM). These tools aid in enhancing dementia care through promoting reflective practice and positive interventions in this specialised area of care.
