Bio:

Brandi Shah, MD, MPH (she/her) has spent over 20 years working with and alongside medically marginalized communities, with a focus on optimizing health for young people and women. Her work bridges clinical care, narrative medicine, and community-driven advocacy and participatory action, prioritizing culturally-proactive health equity and health literacy. Outside of clinical work, she uses digital storytelling and other story praxis to connect people and imaginations to work towards a more just and holistically healing approach to health. Originally from the US, she now lives in Gisborne, Aotearoa with her whānau.
