Pressure injuries remain a significant challenge across hospital, community, and home care settings, with serious impacts on patient outcomes and quality of life. This webinar brings together three leading experts to share their insights and practical approaches.
Dr Althea Page-Carruth is a Podiatrist, researcher, and member of the Pan Pacific Pressure Injury Alliance, Paula McKinnel is Tissue Viability Nurse Practitioner with two decades of wound care expertise and Jan Johnstone has 30 years of community experience and is a current member of the NZWCS Committee.
All speakers are long-time members of the Pressure Injury Advisory Group of the NZ Wound Care Society and presenters at the biennial STOP Pressure Injury Symposiums and together they will provide an overview of the International Clinical Practice Guidelines, explore evidence-based strategies for prevention and management and will share case studies that highlight practical decision-making and staging for documentation and communication. This session will equip health professionals and carers with the tools to identify, prevent, and treat pressure injuries, ensuring better outcomes for patients and their whanau.
