Ben registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in 1978. Since then he has had an extensive career in the Diagnostic Microbiology field. He is an honorary lecturer for the University of Otago and gives many presentations to ultidisciplinary conferences, seminars and practices every year on many microbially related topics including our
microbiome and its relationship to health and disease, emerging antibiotic resistances and emerging infectious diseases.
